Review your current position

A full financial review, on the Gold Coast

Every plan we write starts the same way: with an honest look at where you actually stand. Not a projection, not a product, but a complete picture of your income, super, debt, cover and cashflow in one place, so every decision after it rests on facts.

What it is
A written picture of where you stand today
What it is not

The initial conversation is complimentary

Is this you?

If more than one of these lands, it is worth a conversation. None of them are unusual, and all of them are fixable.

  • 01

You have never had it all looked at together

Most people have a super fund, some insurance, a mortgage and a savings account, all arranged at different times for different reasons and never once reviewed as a single system.

  • 02

You suspect something is not right but cannot name it

That instinct is usually correct and usually specific: duplicate fees, cover that no longer matches your obligations, or a loan structure quietly costing you. It just needs finding.

  • 03

You want a second opinion on existing advice

A review does not commit you to changing anything or anyone. Sometimes the most useful outcome we deliver is telling someone their current arrangements are sound.

  • 04

    Something significant has changed

A new job, a baby, a separation, an inheritance, a business. Arrangements built for your old circumstances rarely fit the new ones, and the gap tends to go unnoticed for years.

What we actually do

No open-ended retainer and no vague scope. You know what you are getting and what it costs before we begin.

  • Your full position, in one place

Income, expenses, assets, debts, superannuation, insurance and ownership structures gathered and set out together, usually the first time our clients have seen it on a single page.

  • What it is costing you

The total of fees, premiums and interest you are currently paying each year. This is the number that most often prompts action, and almost nobody knows it in advance.

  • The gaps and the duplications

Where you are exposed, where you are paying twice for the same thing, and where a structure is working against you rather than for you.

  • A prioritised list of what to do next

In order, with the reasoning attached, including anything you can act on yourself without engaging us further.

Worth understanding

Not a sales pitch: the handful of things that genuinely change the outcome, including the ones that are expensive to discover late.

  1. 01

A review is diagnosis, not treatment

The point of this stage is to find out what is true before anyone recommends anything. Advice given before the position is understood is guesswork wearing a suit, and it is how people end up with products that solve a problem they never had.

  2. 02

The uncomfortable numbers are the useful ones

Annual spending, total fees, actual interest paid. People consistently estimate these low, and the gap between the estimate and the reality is normally where the opportunity sits. Nobody is going to be judged for it; we have seen every version of this.

  3. 03

Bring the paperwork you have been avoiding

Super statements, insurance schedules, loan statements. You do not need to have them organised, and if you cannot find something we can usually track it down. Reviewing what you think you have rather than what you actually have is the main way things get missed.

  4. 04

Doing nothing is a valid outcome

If the review shows your arrangements are already appropriate, that is what we will tell you, and you will have a written picture of your position for the trouble. An adviser who never concludes "leave it alone" is not reviewing anything.

Common questions

General information only, and not personal advice. What applies to you depends on your circumstances.

We talk about what you want and what you are worried about, then work through your actual position: income, spending, super, debt, insurance and any investments. You leave with a clear picture of where you stand and an idea of what could be improved. There is no obligation to proceed, and no cost for that first conversation.
